You know...
There is a reason I went to beauty school, stayed an extra 600 hours to get my Master's degree in Cometology, apprenticed under a really fantastic hairdresser for a year and a half, took all those classes at the beauty expos to expand my knowledge base.
All of this education culminates to one simple rule. Always use professional products, especially when doing chemical procedures. DO NOT get your product from the drugstore and expect it to work the same. I knew better. I really did. Yet I got in a hurry and ignored the rule.
My hair is now carrot orange with blonde roots on top. Not exactly the duo-toned look I was going for. Geez Louise! I feel like I'm back in high school, although back then I did it on purpose. If I hear any "Rainbow Bright" cracks, I'm seriously gonna kick someone's butt.
It's fixable but I'm going to have to wait a couple of days to recondition my hair and try again. Meanwhile, I guess my "Where the Wild Things Are" baseball cap is gonna get a workout.
